Bhāratīya Darśan Śāstrer Samanvaya ভারতীয় দর্শন শাস্ত্রের সমন্বয়

In this book, the author, Yogendranatah Tarka-Sāṃkhya-Vedāntatīrtha, explores how the different schools of classical Indian Philosophy converge on the idea of liberation as the ultimate goal of human life. Even though there are divergent views on the nature of liberation, all the schools of classical Indian philosophy have liberation as the tātparya of their respective fundamental texts. The author also mentions the different ways of ascertaining the tātparya of a text. Using this hermeneutic principle the author concludes that each of the systems of Indian philosophy culminates in the idea of liberation as its tātparya.

Introduction To The Purva Mīmāṃsā

The book, while offering an introduction to Purva-Mīmāṃsā, is divided into three chapters, each chapter divided into several sections. The first chapter contains a general discussion on the nature of darśana, on the general significance of Purva-Mīmāṃsā and Uttara-Mīmāṃsā including both the schools of Kumarila and Prabhākara. Chapter two contains a discussion on pramā and pramāṇa in Mīmāṃsā philosophy. In chapter three, one finds discourse on the nature of Ātman, God and liberation. The last part of the book contains a discussion on the relationship between Mīmāṃsā maxims and Hindu Law.

Sāṃkhyadarśan সাংখ্যদর্শন

This book, written by Bhupendranath Bhattacharya, is a detailed presentation of the main features of Sāṃkhya philosophy. There are seven chapters in the book that contain discussions on Saṃkhya theory of pramāṇa, Sāṃkhya theory of god, Sāṃkhya theory of causation, Sāṃkhya theory of guṇa, Sāṃkhya theory of prakṛti, Sāṃkhya theory of puruṣa, Sāṃkhya theory of mahat-tattva, Sāṃkhya theory of subtle body, Sāṃkhya theory of bhautika sarga, Sāṃkhya theory of pralaya, Sāṃkhya theory of liberation respectively.

Tattvamīmāṃsādarśnam तत्त्वमिमांसादर्सनम्

In this book, the author Girindranatah Vedantaratna presents his views on different aspects of classical Indian Metaphysics. The book has sixteen chapters. The author discusses several issues like the nature of the world, the nature of the individual self, the nature Adhikāri, the nature of upāsanā and the nature of liberation.

Vedānta-Paribhāṣa বেদান্ত-পরিভাষা.

The author of the present book, Pañchānan  Śāstrī, offers a detailed presentation of the views of Vedānta-Paribhāṣa, as one finds in Vedānta-Paribhāṣa. All the important views of Dharmaraja Adhvarindra have been explained in great detail starting from an analysis of maṅgalācaraṇa, through the different pramāṇas and ending with an analysis of liberation and its kinds as accepted in Advaita Vedānta.

Vedānta-Sūtram (Vloume-4) বেদান্তসূত্রম (৪র্থ খন্ড)

This volume is a detailed Bengali translation and explanation of the Vedānta Sūtras contained in the Fourth chapter (also known as Phaladhyāya) of the entire Vedānta Sūtras. The Bengali translation and explanation are done by Nrtyagopal Pancatirtha. This commentary explains the Vedanta Sūtras in accordance with the philosophical ideas advocated by Śrī Chaitanyadeva. In the first section, one finds a discussion on the nature of liberation  and its different kinds. In the second section, one finds an explanation of how the liberated persons get free from the shackles of the body. The third section undertakes a discussion on the nature of Brahman that is to be attained. The fourth section explains the nature of the liberated person.

Vedānta-Sūtram (Volume-3) বেদান্তসূত্রম (৩য় খন্ড)

This volume is a detailed Bengali translation and explanation of the Vedānta Sūtras contained in the third chapter of the entire Vedānta Sūtras. The Bengali translation and explanation are done by Nrtyagopal Pancatirtha. In this book, one gets a detailed explanation of the futility of the mundane rituals and argues for the pañcagni vidyā as found in Chāndogya Upaniṣad. There is also discussion on how the self goes out of the physical body and enters a new body after rebirth. The second part undertakes a discussion on the nature of sādhanabhakti which is the way to attain liberation. In the third section, one gets an analysis of the nature of Śrī Hari which is the goal to reach. The fourth part presents an analysis of the nature and varieties of vidya, i.e. Haribhakti.

मुक्तिबादबिचारः (Muktivādavicaraḥ)

This book is an essay on Nyāya theory of liberation. Harirāma Tarkavāgīśa, in this book, critically assesses the generally accepted definition of liberation as permanent (ātyantika) cessation (nivṛtti) of suffering (duhkha). The debate revolves around explaining the terms like ‘atyanta’ and ‘nivṛtti’. Harirama argues that the widely accepted understanding of these words fails to cover all the different kinds of liberation that philosophers talk about. Harirama proposes to describe liberation as the destruction of final suffering and the idea of finality could be understood as a universal inhering in suffering. Harirama argues that if knowledge of reality is to be regarded as the cause of liberation, then liberation is to be regarded as the permanent post-negation of sin and not of misery.
